The Detherverse platform is built upon the principles of community collaboration and participation. We believe in the power of collective intelligence and aim to foster an inclusive environment where users can actively contribute to the growth and development of the ecosystem. The Detherverse community is encouraged to provide feedback, propose new ideas, and suggest improvements to enhance the platform's features, mechanics, and overall user experience.
Detherverse embraces a decentralized governance model to ensure that the platform's future is determined collectively by its community. The governance model is designed to promote transparency, inclusivity, and community empowerment. Here are the details of the Detherverse governance model:
The governance power within Detherverse is distributed among DVT token holders. DVT token holders have the right to participate in important decision-making processes that shape the platform's future. The number of DVT tokens held by an individual directly corresponds to their voting power, ensuring that those with a larger stake have a greater influence in governance decisions.
The voting power of an DVT token holder, denoted as VP, can be calculated using the following formula:
Where:
TH is the total number of DVT tokens held by the token holder
TA is the total supply of DVT tokens in circulation
TV is the total voting power available across all DVT tokens
The formula ensures that the voting power is proportional to the stake held by the token holder relative to the total supply of DVT tokens and the total voting power available.
To facilitate community decision-making, Detherverse employs a voting mechanism that allows DVT token holders to cast their votes on platform proposals and initiatives. Voting can take place on various matters, including platform upgrades, feature enhancements, policy changes, economic parameters, and community initiatives. Each proposal is subject to a voting period, during which DVT token holders can cast their votes based on the number of tokens they hold.
Detherverse encourages community members to actively participate in the governance process by submitting proposals. DVT token holders can propose new ideas, improvements, or changes to the platform. Proposals undergo a review process where community members can provide feedback, suggestions, and engage in constructive discussions. The review process ensures that proposals are thoroughly examined and refined before being put to a community vote.
Detherverse emphasizes transparency in the governance process. All voting activities and results are recorded on the Ethereum blockchain, ensuring transparency and immutability. This transparency allows community members to track voting outcomes, verify the integrity of the voting process, and hold the governance system accountable. Detailed voting results are made available to the community, promoting trust and confidence in the decision-making process. For a proposal to pass, the following conditions must be met.
Voter participation must be at least quorum, The current quorum value is 30% of all staked DVT.
The ratio of NoWithVeto votes must be less than veto. The current veto value is 33%.
The ratio of Yes votes must be greater than threshold. The current threshold value is 50%. Abstain votes are not included in the threshold tally.
If a proposal meets all of the previous conditions, it passes. If a proposal fails to meet any of the previous conditions, it fails. Proposals that get rejected with veto do not get their deposits refunded. The parameters quorum, veto, and threshold exist as blockchain parameters in the Governance module.
Detherverse may allocate a portion of its resources to community funds and grants. These funds are designed to support community-driven projects, innovations, and initiatives that contribute to the growth and development of the Detherverse ecosystem. Community members can submit grant applications, detailing their project ideas and the intended benefits for the community. Allocation of funds may be determined through community voting, ensuring a fair and inclusive distribution process.
To foster active community engagement and involvement, Detherverse may hold regular governance meetings. These meetings provide an opportunity for community members to discuss platform updates, proposals, and community initiatives. They serve as a platform for open communication, knowledge sharing, and collaborative decision-making. Regular governance meetings help ensure that the voice of the community is heard and that all stakeholders have the opportunity to participate in shaping the future of Detherverse.
The governance model of Detherverse is designed to be upgradable and flexible, allowing for the evolution of the platform over time. As the platform grows and community needs evolve, the governance model can be adjusted toincorporate new features, mechanisms, or improvements. This flexibility ensures that Detherverse can adapt to changing market conditions, technological advancements, and the evolving requirements of its user community.
The proposal process within the Detherverse platform is designed to be transparent, fair, and inclusive. Any community member, regardless of their role, can submit a proposal for consideration. Proposals can range from technical improvements, new features, ecosystem partnerships, or changes to platform policies. Proposals go through a period of open discussion, allowing community members to provide feedback and assess the potential impact. After the discussion period, voting is initiated, and DVT holders can cast their votes to approve or reject the proposal.
To encourage active community engagement and participation in the governance process, incentives are provided to DVT holders who actively contribute to discussions and vote on proposals. These incentives can be in the form of additional DVT rewards, exclusive access to features or events, or recognition within the Detherverse community. The specific details of the incentivization program will be outlined in the Detherverse Incentives and Rewards section of this whitepaper.
Community events and initiatives play a vital role in fostering engagement, collaboration, and a sense of belonging within the Detherverse community. These events can include virtual gatherings, competitions, workshops, and creative challenges. By organizing regular events and initiatives, we aim to strengthen the bonds between community members, encourage knowledge sharing, and highlight the talents and achievements of individuals within the Detherverse ecosystem.
Ensuring a positive and safe environment for all community members is of utmost importance to us. Community support and moderation teams are dedicated to assisting users, resolving issues, and maintaining a healthy and respectful community atmosphere. Clear guidelines and rules are established to govern user behavior, ensuring that interactions within the Detherverse platform are constructive, inclusive, and free from harassment or abuse.
The Detherverse platform thrives on the active participation, ideas, and contributions of its community. By embracing a decentralized governance model, incentivizing participation, hosting community events, and providing robust community support, we aim to cultivate an engaged, inclusive, and vibrant community that collectively drives the growth and evolution of the Detherverse platform.
